Hailing from Toronto, Canada. Weighing in at 170-190 lbs (depending on studio diet) It’s………….Bryan Wilson!!!! (Beach Boys jokes welcome).
A jack of all trades, the GRAMMY-nominated mixer, producer, songwriter, and engineer is a master at pumping out beats that transport listeners into another realm. Using crisp, powerful vocals to help advance the journey of the song, Bryan is known as a much needed musical finisher in a landscape that requires a multifaceted experienced individual who can get the job done at any stage of a project, and whose music transcends all genres.
One day you may find him working on a dance track and the next day creating a dope rap beat or catchy pop tune. He’s had the pleasure of working with such global acts as Florence + The Machine, Arctic Monkeys, Of Monsters And Men, Disclosure—and the list just goes on.
He picked up his first GRAMMY-nod for mixing Sofi Tukker’s dance-classic ‘Drinkee’ at the 59th annual Grammy Awards. Other major credits include producing and mixing Jeremy Loops’ No.1 album ‘Trading Change,’ recording the critically acclaimed albums ‘Working Out’ for Arthur Beatrice, as well as the ‘Revolve’ LP for triple BRIT-Award nominee, John Newman. Bryan has mixed and engineered for a wide variety of artists such as Ady Suleiman, Lianne La Havas, Jay Electronica, Peace, Plan B, Emeli Sande, Eve, Maverick Sabre, Wolf Alice, Gabriel Bruce and Frightened Rabbit. He’s also engineered tracks on Stormzy’s UK No.1, Brit & Ivor Novello award winning, Mercury Prize-nominated album ‘Gang Signs and Prayer’. His work with Sofi Tukker garnered another GRAMMY nomination at the 61st annual Grammy awards for their debut album ‘Treehouse’ in the best dance/electronic album category.
Constantly evolving, Bryan is always on the prowl to find and develop new talent while also enhancing established talent on the production/writing/mixing fronts. To represent his continued growth as an artist, he adopted the stage name, Boom Dice. Moving forward, the name will be front and centre on any new music he’s involved with. It made it’s official music debut in August 2019, co-releasing a single with LA based DJ and Femme House initiative front woman LP Giobbi.
“I am not trying to keep Bryan Wilson and Boom Dice separate,” he explained. “There is a wealth of DIY driven independent resources and artists out there now. All of the great talent I get to work with are at the forefront of this evolving, self-motivated attitude. I find that inspiring and want to extend what I offer as producer/writer/mixer by creating a platform to showcase these acts with the Boom Dice seal of approval or stamp on it.”
Bryan, aka Boom Dice, has worked alongside world-class producers and mixers including Paul Epworth, Ben Hillier, and Craig Silvey. During this time, he was involved with a wide range of albums from Britney Spears, Toni Braxton, Katy B and Calvin Harris, to Grinderman, Noah & The Whale, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Horrors, Mumford & Sons, and Graham Coxon.
He grew up surrounded by music while living in Toronto, Canada as a child. He originally started making music in his parents’ basement when he was around 13-years-old using FL Studio (Fruity Loops at that time). A move to Liverpool followed, where he ultimately earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sound Technology at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). This marked the start of his professional career in the music industry.
Fast-forward to today and Mr. Boom Dice himself is on track to be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Presently, Bryan is working on an EP titled “Boom Dice Presents…” which will showcase a variety of artists he collaborates with. He’s also engineering tracks for Arrow Benjamin’s eagerly-awaited debut album, as well as producing and mixing upcoming acts such as Anna Leone, Boii, LP Giobbi, and Hollie Carmen.
